My Poetry

I started this blog so I could neatly archive my work. You should find my poetry very diverse. I would like to believe there is something here for almost everyone.

It was only recently that I became interested in poetry. I started taking care of my mother after she suffered a stroke and we began writing stories and poems together. It has been very therapeutic for us both.

This isn't a complete collection of my poetry, my first poems I self published under the moniker, A Pet Banana Production. The first self published book, "A Pet Banana" is a rhyme/story about colors and the second is a collection of poetry I created with my mother titled, "An Elephant is On My House." I hope you enjoy my writing and I would love a visit to my author page!

Run Run my little son!

Play outside when the chores are done

Run Run my little son!

Swim in the creek and have some fun

Run Run my little son!

Dance with that girl and call her hon

Run Run my little son!

Enjoy your life it has just begun

Run Run my little son!

Raise a family with the wife you won

Run Run my little son!

You have come a long way and lived a ton

Run Run my little son!

Tell all of those stories that you have spun

Run Run my little son!

You are all out of time, now there is none

Sleep Sleep my little son.

All of your life you have been on the run…

Up all night

The Sun came up

The Sun went down,

There I sat

With a frown. :-(

The Moon was full

And really bright,

There I sat

Through the night.

The Sun came up

The Moon went round,

Now my frown

Is upside down. :-)
